How are artworks created? Why did Emil Nolde love such radiant colours? And what does it feel like to become creative yourself?

Children and young people gain exciting insights into the life and work of Emil Nolde in Seebüll. After a short introduction to the exhibition and a visit to the colourful Nolde Garden, their own impressions are artistically transformed in the painting school. Using watercolours, pastels or other materials, individual works are created that express what they have experienced in a personal way.

Our experienced museum educators design each workshop flexibly – tailored to age, group size and desired themes. Whether a short creative session or a multi‑day project: the Seebüll Painting School offers space for inspiration, experimentation and expression.
